Design and aesthetics are a part of every project.
Before I went to college, I worked at a newspaper, learning the print business at a young age, and I continued to work there summers and on winter breaks. Later, working for Miller Marketing, my layout and design skills came in handy and I became very proficient in Photoshop.
Fast forward a few years and I have my own business, The Image Company. I hired a professional designer to work with us, but I’m competitive and I love to learn new things so I felt the need to sharpen my design skills and learn more about other programs. I soon became proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and even Adobe InDesign.
Designing a magazine can be a long, arduous process, but working with the capable University Relations staff at Georgia Southwestern State University was exciting. My responsibility on this project was creating the “look” or the design and layout of the magazine. All photos and copy were supplied by the University.

Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter are some of the most sincere people I have ever met, honestly giving of their time to others after serving in the White House. My affiliation with Habitat for Humanity and The Peanut Institute, has enabled me to take thousands of photos of these two over the past 15 years.
Friends of the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site approached me to design a brochure and I was more than happy to help. The brochure was an important part of their work fundraising to preserve the site and to enhance visitor experience for the 21st century.
